A human asset management tale

Human Resource Management has been a great success at Tata Consultancy Services, Asia’s largest provider of information technology. S. Ramodaorai, who remained its CEO from September 1996 to October 2009, played an integral role in the international development of TCS. He took over when TCS earned USD 400 million and had 6,000 employees. His efforts have helped make TCS one of the world’s largest global software and service companies with more than 1,43,000 consultants working in 42 countries, operating out of over 151 offices worldwide, and with revenue over USD 60 billion.
